[Today you found a ticket to a theme park. It seems relatively normal, except that it reads: Lifetime Parkhopper Pass to Progress City. ”The Most Magical Pocket Dimension in the Multiverse!” This is not a theme park you have ever heard of, if you live in a world where theme parks are of the norm.

For some reason you’re drawn to the ticket. There’s something… magical in this piece of paper, and you can practically hear it calling out to you, and you feel compelled to pick it up. It’s strange, but it’s a piece of paper, what’s the worst that could happen?

However, the moment you pick it up, you feel yourself being pulled. There is nothing pulling you but there is an overwhelming sensation that something is pulling you by the chest into the ground. You don’t have time to process what’s going on before you suddenly fall over, the strange feeling going away the moment you hit the ground.

It takes a few moments for you to regain your bearings, but as you look up you are suddenly hit with the fact that, wherever you were before, you certainly aren’t there anymore. It appears to be a transport station of some sort, and a very sleek and new one at that. Monorails pass by the station every couple of minutes, with small, slower moving vehicles consistently move in and out of the center.

The innermost wall, right behind where you stand, is lined with portals. It appears that you came in through this portal, but if you try to go back the way you came in, you’ll find that you are unable to enter it, no matter how hard you try.

While the realization that you are now trapped in this strange place, you will soon find that you also have a strange band strapped to your dominant wrist. No matter how hard you try to take it off, it seems like it’s stuck on there.

At least you’re not alone, along with a bunch of other people who arrived around the same time you did, there are humanoid people who seemed to be intrigued by your arrival. They’re all generally nice, but get confused if you ask them why you’re here and why you can’t leave. They will, however, happily tell you the name of the place you’re in if you ask:

Progress City.]

[A few months ago, Tadashi would be unfortunately used to this kind of thing. Suddenly get abducted for a murdergame, then another game, then some final battle--wait, that wasn't an abduction, but he's ended up in a lot of strange places with little to no explanation.

But he's been home for a little bit, long enough that he doesn't wake up immediately expecting to see some run-down bedroom or hotel room around him. Long enough that picking up a strange ticket is somewhat worrying.

And still, his first thought is]

Again? Are you kidding me?

[After the initial shock, he's going to go investigate the monorail hub, to see if he can at least figure out where he is and maybe what's going on this time around.]

"Again?" Are you telling me that this sort of thing happens regularly?

[Eclipsa has had, frankly, a hell of a day. She was looking forward to something like a nap but she also wasn't entirely sure she was going to get any sleep. So she had gotten into her pajamas, poured a cup of tea, picked up that tempting little ticket, sipped her cup, and-

Well that's curious, isn't it?

She twirls the spoon in her cup idly as she examines her surroundings, trying to grasp the unusual sights and sounds around her. There had been some advancements over the course of three hundred years, but this seemed above and beyond the pale. Was this really Mewni? Or had some other judgements like being popped in to make sure she was imprisoned again?

For the moment, she decides to simply sit in one of the seats, tapping one of her fuzzy slippers, and she worked towards finishing her cup. No sense letting it go to waste.]

[...There's always different ways to accept waking up in a strange new place, but this is one of the stranger.]

You're, uh... looking pretty comfy there.

[being home had been. uncomfortable, to say the least. it's hard to go back to being a normal, if magical, child after months of freewheeling, violent anarchy. so though she will never, ever admit it, when a strange ticket shows up in her bedroom, she picks it up immediately, without even thinking.

she doesn't expect what happens next, her house and her sister disappearing as she falls, to be replaced with some kind of weird bus depot, but she's not entirely displeased.

still. gotta keep up appearances.

so she's just kinda. throwing her body against the portal. again and again. like the situation is suddenly gonna change.]

[Eclipsa just watches this unfold in fascination. It's really kind of an incredible display.]

Have you tried... throwing yourself at it?

[Sheldon doesn't even really remember choosing to pick up the ticket. He must have, sure, but the fact that he wasn't really thinking about it when he did so just means that he doesn't exactly appreciate being tossed somewhere with no prior warning. Maybe if there'd been fine text attached to the ticket, or something, but there wasn't and that means that he, someone very important, has been pulled away from his equally important business to be taken to some-- some lousy amusement park.

He won't stand for this.

After a solid minute or so of tossing himself against the portal with increasing force he finally gives up and seeks other tactics, namely marching up towards one of the figures milling about watching the new arrivals and pointing a finger directly in their face.]

I want you to go to whoever's in charge of this """Progress City""" and tell them-- [hm, actually,] --well, first tell them that I should be put in charge instead. Then tell them that I demand to know what is going on!

[Yeah, that sounds good. After that he's just gonna. Sit on one of the benches, arms crossed impatiently and glowering even though his threatening clearly didn't prompt anyone to go retrieve whoever's running the place. This is fine. He's got a handle on the situation.]

[Dan Backslide, coward bully cad and thief, kind of watches this whole nonsense with mild interest. He's really an inscrutable fellow, so it's hard to figure his stance on this.

Or he's rubbed the butt of his cigar into the shirt of the same person Sheldon was pointing at, that's also a possibility.]

That's RIGHT! Answer! Or you will be answered!

[Although she's never been, Ariel understands that this is in fact not New Orleans. That's where her Grunkle was supposed to be send her and her finacée right? So this place...?]

Grunkle Zeus? Freddie?

[The girl nervously tugs on the wristband trapped on her, becoming a little panicky as she realizes it's not coming off. What the hell is going on? Is this another murder game!? This can't be happening... this can't be happening!

She takes a deep breath to try and calm down before walking forward to join the crowd.]

This better not be some new game, because I'm definitely gonna kill whoever's in charge this time.

[She'd been galloping away through the woods on Philippe, upset and angry and fearful, when she spied something on the ground that caused her to pull up short, circle back around. Against every fiber of her being that was screaming at Belle to keep running, not to stop until she reached home and her father. But still, she pulled Philippe up, turned him, and dismounted, crouching down in the snow to reach out for that piece of paper, just so she could read the words printed on it...it was so colorful, so unlike anything she'd ever seen...

And then she's stumbling, gasping, wheeling as she realizes her surroundings have changed completely. And if the castle was unlike anything she'd ever seen, this...this is like a completely different reality. All sleek lines and silver paint, and moving things she can't even comprehend the usage of until she sees people stepping in and out of them.

And the strap around her wrist, decorated with...rose petals? That can't...that isn't right. She tugs at it in vain, tries to work it off her tiny hand, but nothing's working.]

This can't be right, this...can't be real.

[Della's been so fascinated with the whole scenario that she doesn't even notice who is and who isn't a new arrival when she goes to ask them questions, so she barely even glances at Belle, let alone notices her confusion, when she starts up again.]

Oh, it's real! Trust me, I've already gone and tried pushing half of this stuff over. None of it's cardboard, and that whole ticket thing was way too--

[...Actually this person doesn't. Look like she's handling this whole situation incredibly well, from the way she's tugging at her band like that. It admittedly takes Della a while to actually notice said alarm, but once she does she kind of trails off.]

--Uh, hey, are you okay? The band doesn't really come off... I've tried that, too.

[Life in Gravity Falls came at you fast, even when you were trying to take it slow for once in your life. All the weird things she had grown accustomed to experiencing, the ticket lying at her feet didn't even faze her until she read what it had to say, and suddenly felt herself getting pulled to the ground.

In hindsight, she should have seen this coming.

The first moment she looks up is curiously stunning. No longer was she surrounded by tall redwoods, about to knock on the door of her girlfriend's cottage. It's all been replaced by some kind of station with monorails and those weird portals that she probably fell out of- oh.

oh.

Wendy wasn't so foolish a mortal to think everything about this was fine. The moment she's up, she begins to dig through her various pockets, obviously searching while she grumbles with little regard for how loud she was.]

...Oohhh, man. Again? Did I kick puppies in another life?

[Rough translation: "God i fucking know, right?"

Beaker's thought the same exact thing himself a few hundred times throughout the years working with Bunsen. He may not have participated in a murdergame before, but he feels your pain.]

[What's that high pitched screaming noise? It's an orange Muppet being flung violently onto the ground. Beaker crumples on the floor like a pile of cloth on impact, and, after a few seconds, gets right up again, brushing himself off. He peers around nervously, trying to regain his sense of direction.

So...uh. This definitely isn't the first time that Beaker has been whisked off to some unfamiliar place at the drop of a hat. Even before that whole Nautilus thing, Bunsen had taken the liberty of testing the prototype teleporter on Beaker every day for a week or so. He was lucky that his molecules hadn't been arranged inside out. There's a vague notion that maybe there's a chance that he'll find Bunsen here, unlike the previous dimension he was in.

But, for now, this is a lot to take in for a Muppet like Beaker. So he's just going to sit in the corner and tuck his face into his shirt like a turtle. It's fine. Everything is fine.]

( the screaming is hard to miss, even for a princess in the midst of a veritable fashion crisis. she's not entirely self-absorbed, okay. the creature's bright orange and doesn't look like any she's ever seen before, and she's met a lot of sidekicks and henchmen both in auradon and on the isle.

so don't mind as evie very cautiously approaches this fellow new arrival's corner of choice, a cautious hand touching him on the shoulder. )

( it's a busy day at auradon prep — but it's nothing that a princess like evie can't handle. there's her physics homework to finish, adding the appliqués to the new dress she's working on as a present for dizzy when she arrives, reapplying her lip gloss, and —

oh, goodness, she needs to jot something down for her meeting with ben and the council of sidekicks before she dashes off. except when evie opens her blue notebook, prepares to write something in her neat cursive, she finds some sort of — ticket? laying ever-so-purposefully within its open pages. so evie touches it.

... and finds herself somewhere completely new, utterly different from both the isle and auradon in its architecture and the people all over and goodness, those portals look like magic. immediately, evie finds herself wishing that mal was here. just as quickly, the princess looks down at the wristband that's appeared on her person amongst golden bangles.

it's blue. plain blue. and it's nondescript, something evie is decidedly not. ) This so does not go with my outfit.

[like most of the other veterans, Freddie has become solidly convinced they're all five minutes from a host appearing and introducing them to a brand new round of murdergames, so she's just walking around and taking inventory, mentally sizing up this go-around's competition...]

... Evie? [no. this couldn't be. these games hadn't touched her world outside of herself, not yet. this was. not the best sign.]

[weird portals? fine. whatever. she's had worse. suddenly not where she was five minutes ago? whatever. fine. she's already glanced around and noticed the Two Whole People (c) she gives a damn about are nearby and looking just as confused. none of this is a big deal.

the wristband thing? hmmm nope don't like that.

at first she looks for the way to unclip it. when there isn't one, she tries to rip it off. when that doesn't work, she just kinda. loses one of her few remaining scraps of patience and dignity and is just. trying to gnaw the sucker off. briefly considering if she really needs two whole hands.]

If it's at all similar to mine, that's not going to work. These bracelets don't respond to rodent teeth--and I do believe yours may be a bit duller.

[ Sup. Mouse-dad's still at the bemused stage, clearly not as put out about their unexpected arrival as he ought to be. ]

[Della, personally, is having a great time. Sure, it'd been kind of confusing for the first thirty seconds or so, but a quick survey of the surroundings had proven that it was all a real, actual place and not some sort of weird illusion (something that she's so used to by now that it's boring).

By 'survey', of course, she means she went around trying to shove everything over and tossing herself into walls in an attempt to pass through them. As one does.

But none of that had helped any, which means she gets to come up with new answers for a new situation instead and that's great! That's exciting! She should've brought one of her bags along, she could use a journal to write this all down in... as it is, she'll just rush right up to one of the other new arrivals (at least they look new) to see if they have any theories instead. She's never had this many people to discuss things like this with before.]

Hey! You found one of those tickets too, right? How do you think that worked?

Magic, duh. [said with absurd confidence and certainty] What else would it be?

[After the whole getting put into exile by his old best friend thing, Richard and Galavant had been on the road for some time. Or well, at sea with some pirate buddies of Gal. Though at some point a few months into their voyage a mysterious ticket had made its way onto the ship, and Richard being himself, he had to have it. It looked like nothing he'd ever seen before. Very, very tempting.

But the last thing he expected when picking up was being teleported to.... wherever this place is. And oh my god, what is this place?

Eventually after having a minor emotional breakdown Richard decides to go up to a few of the other guests here with him.]

You don't happen to know where we are, do you? Or.. what those are?

[He says, gesturing to the monorails.

[He just glances up at the monorail briefly before looking back towards Richard, Extremely Judgmental.]

Those are trains. [like fucking obviously] And where we are, no, but believe me I intend on finding out.

Basil might've provided some advice when the pocket dimension was being reconstructed, but uh. it very much wasn't reconstructed last he saw the place, let alone sleek and bright and where the hell is he.

Also there's a thing on his tiny wrist. That won't come off.

He didn't think much of the ticket at the time- just some little trinket of man's invention, probably dropped by accident during a trek through the jungle. He'd picked it up carefully in his mouth, intending to bring it to Mowgli- the boy adored manmade objects, collected them like a little bird- and then-

And then-

No matter how dignified and intelligent they are, if you abruptly shove a wild leopard with a healthy distrust of humans into a crowd of them, with no explanation or even a moment to breathe, the reaction is going to be bad.

Bagheera has enough self control to not hurt anyone [unless you give him a reason to], but he's a snarling mass of fury in the middle of the street, his fangs bared and ears back, his fur bristling with panic. He's fully convinced that this is some sort of new man trap and that he's about to be slaughtered, and hasn't even noticed the band on his paw.

Good luck dealing with that.]

[Once that situation's dealt with, and Bagheera's had time to think, calm down, and apologize, he begins exploring the general area in earnest. At the moment, he seems fascinated by the technology on display.]

Excuse me? Would you happen to know what this thing does?

[It's... a street lamp. And if you decide to answer him, you get the feeling he has a lot more questions of a similar vein to ask.]

[It's a good thing Della loves answering questions, then! Also, admittedly, she's interested in the whole talking cat thing (he's not standing on two legs or wearing clothes, okay, it's weird).]

Uh... you mean the street lamps? It's just a light! You know, to make the streets easier to see at night.

[It's early in the morning, and Yui is trying to puzzle out the piece of paper on her desk. It's... a ticket? She's dressed to head out to class, but she just doesn't recognize it. It's pretty small, and it's for-

-wait, what's that pulling sensation? Immediately she wants to recoil from the ticket, but when she's getting takes toward her carpeted floor, that's difficult. Still, she's relaxing a tiny bit, given she's not getting pulled into a cage again. That's a different feeling. So then, it's not her heart, it's actually her being stolen-

-when she hits the ground, ticket clenched in one hand and bag clattering to the ground next to her, her first emotion is confusion. It's carpet, but nothing should make a noise when it hits? That's when she realizes her hand isn't touching carpet anymore. Whatever it is - feels like stone - it isn't soft. That's what finally gets her to look up and try to figure out where she is. And for a moment, laying face down in the Transport Center, she can only blink.

The moment doesn't last long, as instinct honed from six months of helping Haruka chase monsters kicks in, and she starts to analyze. Of course, that doesn't get her very far either, and after a moment, shifting to sit upright, she sighs, realizing this won't just be something easy.]

It never can be easy with magic, can it? Something goes wrong, something chooses, something needs help... This is the part where the fairies show up, right?

[Some time later, having dusted herself off, she starts to wander around the hall, looking for clues in the limited ways she knows how. She's... not overly cheery, but she's not losing herself in despair. She knows what despair feels like, and she's not even close. No, she's just resolute. She'll make it, one way or another.]

[It was another day, another painfully dull and long class in which a crotchety old grant guzzler of a professor went on and on about his novel. Though today was special, as she just turned in a short story for Raft College community paper. It had been about a month since she last said her farewells to a place that she held close to her cold heart. It wasn't her home, it was her second home. Said second home's magic seemed to wear off and now she could remember it. How was that for spite? Well, she'd consider it spite, even if unintentional.

But she was at her home now, content on moving on.

Remember them and-wait what's this?

As she left the publishing studio, she felt something in her skirt pocket. Thinking maybe it was a dollar bill, she grabbed it.

Then she stood right there, at the gates of her new NEW home. Staring blankly at it and the world in front of her. She had no real expression, none at all. Was it shock? Who would know. But she literally stood there, zoning out, looking at her bracelet, before she made the heaviest sigh her lungs could muster.]

...Crap. Here we go again.

[That was it. That was ALL she could say.]

[After the shock of getting basically kidnapped wore off, Daria found herself wandering around. She was diligently writing stuff in her notebook. Was she looking your way and writing stuff down? Trust her, it wasn't intentional. Daria, in actuality, was taking notes on all of the stuff she witnessed so far. The buildings, the advertisements, the housing, etc.

She had to make the most of it all if she was forced to live here. But it was likely that she was also focused enough in her own thoughts that she could've been writing stuff and she would bump into some poor soul. If that happened...Gah.]

...Oops. Uh, sorry about that.

[Things were finally back to normal. Well. As much as they could be. Star had saved the universe twice in a matter of weeks and now she just wanted to have a crisis free life. It was a few days since Marco returned to Earth when she finally started to relax. For the first time in a while, she woke up that morning without the brief moment of terror before realizing she was still in her own bedroom and not in a run down mansion or hotel. She just stared at the ceiling for a minute before letting out a sigh of relief. She was home.

She goes about her day like normal, and almost doesn't think anything of it when she spies the ticket sticking out of her bathroom mirror.]

Lifetime parkhopper... whaaaa?

[Star yanks the ticket free of the mirror to get a closer look. Her mistake, as she immediately feels the falling sensation, and lands on her face on the pavement.]

Gah!! What the heck? What's going on!?

[She jumps up, brandishing her wand, immediately aware that something bad just happened. This is not her beautiful castle in Mewni!]

WHERE AM I!?

Something called 'Progress City'. I don't recall Elysium building a-- wait.

[He glances at the Star, then back to his own ticket. Back to Star, and then the ticket. Maybe three more times for good luck.]

( lance has never been known for his great decision-making skills — anyone remember when his lion was hijacked by a rebel stranger just because she was nice to him literally one time — so, he doesn't have the best track record in that respect, but the ticket he finds seems innocuous enough, and theme parks? he's never. actually been to one before. and given his awareness of alternate universes, the idea of a multiverse doesn't catch him in a way that sets off any alarm bells. so you know what? he's doing this.

it isn't like he has much of a choice, drawn to that ticket as he is. but we digress.

the pull isn't like the rush of adrenaline when his lion starts climbing toward the sky, or when the castle-ship veers toward a wormhole; it's immediate and absolute, and it might take him a little longer than the others that find themselves here to get his head back on straight, get his bearings, but once he does —

he blinks a couple of times, slowly at first, and then a bit more quickly as he looks around at the people milling around the station, none of which have familiar faces, and he thinks maybe just a bit too late that he's made a mistake. hindsight is always twenty-twenty, or some nonsense like that. it's always like that with him. ) Well, that. That just happened. ( he's not talking to himself per se, more just thinking out loud ( loud enough for anyone to hear him and assume he's talking to himself, naturally ) and it's at that very moment that he notices the band on his wrist, blue like. like his paladin armor and he taps at it curiously, brows scrunched together like he might actually be able to figure things out by poking at them. )

Huh. What're you supposed to be? ( he's never quite figured out that poking at things rarely yields favorable results. someone please help this child. )

[ A ticket. On the desk of her absolutely amazing room on her spa vacation with the three fairies. It seemed completely out of place, but Audrey had intended to just take a closer look before heading off to her mudbath and massage.

It doesn't go quite like that. And as soon as she's able to take a look around, she realizes that she's not in Auradon anymore... and this band on her wrist in pink splattered with blue? Is ridiculously hideous. The princess's eyes narrow at it as she tries to take it off, to no avail. ]

Excuse me, but what is going on?? [ A spell? A curse? As though the equally confused people near her could have any answers for it. Whether or not she gets a decent answer, she's off shortly after to look through the crowd to see if there was anyone she knew under this spell with her. ]

Some new (and old) friends

[After an hour and a half of the new comers stumble upon this dimension, three new people come onto the scenes. One of them looks almost human, except for his strange monochrome skin and, if anyone were to recognize the man, he seems like a dead ringer for the man Rod Serling.

If anyone was worried that he would start a monologue about how you’re now stuck inside of The Twilight Zone, you will be glad to realize that he seems too busy frantically looking over a stack of papers to be doing any of that.

When he finally reaches the group of new people, he looks up and clears his throat, seemingly trying to keep his composure.]

Good afternoon everyone. I’ve been informed that something strange happened with the portals and I’m here to investigate this.

Please do not panic, as we would never dream of kidnapping your from your homes intentionally. You see, we activated our portals today for a soft opening, and those privy to the opening to Progress City would come test it out before going home. Something clearly went wrong, but hopefully we’ll be able to fix it up in no time.

[ Michiru doesn't quite remember touching the ticket, nor does she remember anything about it. As she lay dying and inching closer to Haruka, she must have brushed it without intending to. So, to wake up in what she was sure must have been the afterlife was a little jarring but not entirely unexpected. What was unexpected was the wristband on her right wrist, teal and shimmering with glitter.

And her henshin wand and mirror on the ground next to her, along with a purse that she assumed was meant to be hers. Quickly, before they could be questioned, she shoved them into the bag and slung it over her shoulder, her lips pursing together. ]

Is this heaven or hell?

[ And would Haruka join her if it were one or the other? ]

Definitely neither, but if it's anything like the places I've been it's probably closer to hell.

[The second man who appears resembles a certain famous scientist, right down to the colorful bowtie. Much like Rod, there’s something offf about him - animatronic, if you look close enough. Though he might resemble and sound like Bill Nye, the way he carries himself is much more deadpan.]

Blame him.

[Trailing behind Rod and Bill is a woman with vibrantly red hair. It's not as easy to place her as the other two, but if you happen to have ever ridden Pirates of the Carribbean before? She does bear a striking resemblance to The Redhead.]

If ya aren't the type to care about what's being done before it's done, ya might come down to the Adventurer's Club for a drink. They're on me today, to make up for this mess. [Her eyes shift towards Rod.] And should this take longer than a few hours, yer all welcome to stay at my inn - that'll cost you, but we do a mean waffle in the mornin'.

[ the first thing keith does is try to step back inside. of course he does, because there is a mission to complete. the blade and the paladins are waiting for him. and even if they don't wait for him, he needs to catch up. there aren't any buttons to press, any levers to pull. this isn't the first time he has been pulled into an alternate dimension, but he had at least been with the others and they had found their way out. he can't finagle his way out of here and, even more distressingly, he doesn't have a single way to defend himself from any other attackers.

what he does have, however, is a bright red band on his right wrist. he can't figure out its functions just yet. you might find him attempting to tear off this new device.

other newcomers might find this boy slinking around, investigating these unusually bright and new surroundings. possibly... getting very upset with these smiling strangers who can't give him a straight answer about how the hell he can get off this planet. through gritted teeth: ]

This couldn't have been an accident. I just need answers.

( okay so about the lack of familiar faces he might have mentioned to himself earlier —

of all the people that he might have expected to see in this sea ( … ha ) of people, keith isn't exactly at the top of his list, but his face is a welcome one just the same. because it means neither of them are alone here, and even if they don't have much of an idea of what they're supposed to do in the interim, it's nice to know that they'll at least have some moral support going for them.

well. sort of. ) Think you're barking up the wrong tree for that. ( he gives one of those tell-tale lopsided smiles, though it seems to waver, like he's trying to keep things positive but he might just be panicking a little on the inside.

[Ardyn really isn't fazed by much anymore, he's been around a long time and has seen Some Shit™ in his years. That's not to say he isn't perplexed to have just been pulled pretty much into another dimension.

If you're around when Ardyn arrives, you'll watch as he stands up, brushes himself off, and pats his hat back down on his head. He looks around, a confused and a bit frustrated look on his face, not understanding if this is actually real or just some cruel joke done by the Astrals.

His first reaction is come back from whence he came, reaching out to touch the portal first so as to not make a fool of himself if he can avoid it. Seeing as he can't make it though, he then notices the wrist band, automatically trying to pry it off to no avail. Ardyn huffs quietly and tosses his hands to the air, great, just great. Everything was finally going his way, things we're falling into place and now he has to arrive in some stupid city with seemingly no way out.

He decides to saunter around the station, seeing as obviously there's no rush now to leave.]

[Plankton does happen to be around when Ardyn arrives, sitting moodily on a bench not far from the spot he happened to show up in. His response isn't so strange to see-- it's the same response as everyone else, and really, it's just sad to watch at this point. Sad and frustrating, because personally he's very tired of not getting answers. Being stuck in the same situation as a bunch of fools with no advantage isn't something he cares for at all.

He watches Ardyn try out the portal and band in silent judgement, only speaking up when he finally turns to look around elsewhere.]
