[Today you found a ticket to a theme park. It seems relatively normal, except that it reads: Lifetime Parkhopper Pass to Progress City. ”The Most Magical Pocket Dimension in the Multiverse!” This is not a theme park you have ever heard of, if you live in a world where theme parks are of the norm.

For some reason you’re drawn to the ticket. There’s something… magical in this piece of paper, and you can practically hear it calling out to you, and you feel compelled to pick it up. It’s strange, but it’s a piece of paper, what’s the worst that could happen?

However, the moment you pick it up, you feel yourself being pulled. There is nothing pulling you but there is an overwhelming sensation that something is pulling you by the chest into the ground. You don’t have time to process what’s going on before you suddenly fall over, the strange feeling going away the moment you hit the ground.

It takes a few moments for you to regain your bearings, but as you look up you are suddenly hit with the fact that, wherever you were before, you certainly aren’t there anymore. It appears to be a transport station of some sort, and a very sleek and new one at that. Monorails pass by the station every couple of minutes, with small, slower moving vehicles consistently move in and out of the center.

The innermost wall, right behind where you stand, is lined with portals. It appears that you came in through this portal, but if you try to go back the way you came in, you’ll find that you are unable to enter it, no matter how hard you try.

While the realization that you are now trapped in this strange place, you will soon find that you also have a strange band strapped to your dominant wrist. No matter how hard you try to take it off, it seems like it’s stuck on there.

At least you’re not alone, along with a bunch of other people who arrived around the same time you did, there are humanoid people who seemed to be intrigued by your arrival. They’re all generally nice, but get confused if you ask them why you’re here and why you can’t leave. They will, however, happily tell you the name of the place you’re in if you ask:

Progress City.]

[ A ticket. On the desk of her absolutely amazing room on her spa vacation with the three fairies. It seemed completely out of place, but Audrey had intended to just take a closer look before heading off to her mudbath and massage.

It doesn't go quite like that. And as soon as she's able to take a look around, she realizes that she's not in Auradon anymore... and this band on her wrist in pink splattered with blue? Is ridiculously hideous. The princess's eyes narrow at it as she tries to take it off, to no avail. ]

Excuse me, but what is going on?? [ A spell? A curse? As though the equally confused people near her could have any answers for it. Whether or not she gets a decent answer, she's off shortly after to look through the crowd to see if there was anyone she knew under this spell with her. ]

[ There's a familiar face- not one that she was... extremely excited to see. But familiar none the less. ]

Freddie?

Oh, I'm sorry, you must have mistaken me for some other gorgeous, talented VK who you wouldn't give the time of day to if you weren't in such dire circumstances. Happens all the time. I just have that kind of face.

Bitter much? [ She crosses her arms and narrows her eyes. Though she does freeze a little at the suggestion that these are 'dire circumstances'. ]

Like the sourest crab-apple on the tree. [she crosses her arms, mirroring her-- except she's smirking. she knows she shouldn't, but jeez, living with Ariel, as great as it is, means she hasn't had any time to be villainous! can't get out of shape, after all.] You're an awful long way from Auradon, Princess. I think you're gonna find things are very different in other universes. Very, very different.

[ Audrey rolls her eyes at that answer- and the smirk. ] So you're telling me this is a different universe and that you've been universe hopping before?

[ She doesn't believe this. See the skeptic look on her face? ]

Not hopping-- only ever went to the one. And now this place, I guess. Which you better hope is nothing like the last place.

[ah. it'll be fun when she learns she's actually telling the truth for once.]

Enlighten me... [ A pause as she relents. ] What was the last place like?

Oh, y'know. Decrepit mansion, evil blood ritual, I died in an explosion, Hades was there-- nothing you'd find too exciting, I'm sure!

Watch it, brat. I have plans to be and places to do.

[So says the rather annoyed looking man she ends up bumping into.]

[ BRAT? Audrey narrows her eyes at the annoyed, rather old, man. ]

Don't you mean plans to do and places to be? [ Regardless... ] Additionally, that is no way to address a princess. So I could say that you should watch where you're going. Sir.

I do not. Don’t correct me.

[...hm. that piques his interest.]

A princess? Would you say you’re a wealthy princess?

[ . . . Creep alert. Audrey recoils and wrinkles her nose as he asks about her wealth. ]

Like that's any of your business. That's hardly the point.

[ What kind of real princess isn't wealthy is the question here. ]

I make money very much my business. After all, it’s as necessary to one’s well-being as oxygen and costuming.

That's nice.

[ Seriously, Audrey's kind of skeptical of this guy in general. ]

Unfortunately, my money is not your business. And it kind of won't ever be. So you can take your creepy questions somewhere else.

[She has fair reason to be! He's awful.]

Oh, I think I'll keep my creepy questions right here. What are you going to do about that?

Scream. Alert the authorities on grounds of harassment.

[ She crosses her arms, still glaring at him. ]

So you admit you're being creepy, then?

Audrey, ( evie breathes to herself as she spots the definitely-pissed-off princess from afar, hurrying through the small groupings of people discussing this messed up situation with heels click-clacking on the pavement before she stops abruptly in front of her, clenching her hands together under her chin with relieved joy spreading across her cheeks.

maybe she shouldn't be happy that there are others that she knows from auradon here in this strange place, considering she doesn't quite know that this place entails, but —

while audrey wouldn't be evie's first choice of a companion in a potentially dangerous situation, the princess is happy to see her. ) Thank goodness you're here.

Evie? [ Audrey doesn't see Evie until the VK is right in front of her, looking happier to see her than she would have expected. Then again, who knows what's going on back at Auradon since Chad's voicemails are only ever him whining about how much he misses her.

It's almost a smile- pretty close to one, actually, as she realizes just how relieved she is to see Evie. Again: things she never imagined to even speculate. ] You're here too?

[ . . . obviously. ]

( while it's not exactly the aggressively joyous greeting freddie received (see: a bone-crushing hug until freddie practically suffocated), there's a grin that catches at the corners of her mouth and spreads, one that she couldn't contain even if she wanted to.

— and she doesn't want to; it's been a while since evie's even seen her because of her long spa getaway, too, and the warmth that bubbles up within her when she looks at the other girl is unfamiliar and welcome. )

Unfortunately. — Well, or fortunately. I haven't really been able to figure that part out yet. How did you get here?

[ They're smiling at each other and, honestly, this is super strange. But even if she was just a little relieved a moment ago, she's even more relieved now. She reaches out to catch Evie's hand, partly to make sure she's really there, partly for the comfort that it might bring. ]

Right? There was this strange ticket on my dresser at the spa, I picked it up and now I'm here. It's really weird- some kind of spell or something?

[evilette]

( evie's fingers link through audrey's easily, corners of her mouth turning up into a shy smile as she gives audrey's hand a small squeeze. reassuring, partly for her own sake. )

Definitely a spell or something — which is why I wish Mal was here. She might have something in her spell book to get us home. But we'll figure this out.

[Listless shrug as she continues to dig through her pockets.]

Heck if I know, dudette. But the sooner I can manage a way out of here, the better in my book.
