[Today you found a ticket to a theme park. It seems relatively normal, except that it reads: Lifetime Parkhopper Pass to Progress City. ”The Most Magical Pocket Dimension in the Multiverse!” This is not a theme park you have ever heard of, if you live in a world where theme parks are of the norm.

For some reason you’re drawn to the ticket. There’s something… magical in this piece of paper, and you can practically hear it calling out to you, and you feel compelled to pick it up. It’s strange, but it’s a piece of paper, what’s the worst that could happen?

However, the moment you pick it up, you feel yourself being pulled. There is nothing pulling you but there is an overwhelming sensation that something is pulling you by the chest into the ground. You don’t have time to process what’s going on before you suddenly fall over, the strange feeling going away the moment you hit the ground.

It takes a few moments for you to regain your bearings, but as you look up you are suddenly hit with the fact that, wherever you were before, you certainly aren’t there anymore. It appears to be a transport station of some sort, and a very sleek and new one at that. Monorails pass by the station every couple of minutes, with small, slower moving vehicles consistently move in and out of the center.

The innermost wall, right behind where you stand, is lined with portals. It appears that you came in through this portal, but if you try to go back the way you came in, you’ll find that you are unable to enter it, no matter how hard you try.

While the realization that you are now trapped in this strange place, you will soon find that you also have a strange band strapped to your dominant wrist. No matter how hard you try to take it off, it seems like it’s stuck on there.

At least you’re not alone, along with a bunch of other people who arrived around the same time you did, there are humanoid people who seemed to be intrigued by your arrival. They’re all generally nice, but get confused if you ask them why you’re here and why you can’t leave. They will, however, happily tell you the name of the place you’re in if you ask:

Progress City.]

[ Audrey rolls her eyes at that answer- and the smirk. ] So you're telling me this is a different universe and that you've been universe hopping before?

[ She doesn't believe this. See the skeptic look on her face? ]

Not hopping-- only ever went to the one. And now this place, I guess. Which you better hope is nothing like the last place.

[ah. it'll be fun when she learns she's actually telling the truth for once.]

Enlighten me... [ A pause as she relents. ] What was the last place like?

Oh, y'know. Decrepit mansion, evil blood ritual, I died in an explosion, Hades was there-- nothing you'd find too exciting, I'm sure!

I'm finding all of this rather impossible to believe. [ Really. Just how dumb do you think she is, Freddie? ]

Oh, that's too bad. 'Cause that's literally the most normal stuff that happened to us there. If you can't wrap your mind around that, you're really gonna struggle when we get to the robots.

[thats a rhetorical question right]

You're just trying to scare me, so why don't you give it up?

[ Yes that was rhetorical and now robots??? Nope. Not buying it. ]

Please, I'm only half doing that. The other half is actually dead serious. Does this look like a joking expression to you?

[it. kinda doesn't. that's. great.]

[ It's just mostly that she doesn't want to believe any of this... Her expression softens as she frowns. ]

Oh. [ She burrows her brow and really, she does look sorry for what it's worth. ] I can't... It just seems so ridiculous. You don't think this is like that...? Do you?

It's... familiar. If we're real lucky, it's just some similar weirdness, and nobody gets hurt. But, I can't remember the last time I had good luck, so expecting the worst is just the safest option at this point.

Expecting the worst and kind of secretly hoping for the best, I get it.

[ Though it's apparent she's more than a little worried right now. She's wringing the bottom of her cardigan in her hands as she takes a deep breath and breathes out. ] I'm sorry... you know... for all of that happening to you? Even the worst VK's don't deserve that.

[ See? She can be human. ]

Aw, am I really one of the worst? [THAT IS LITERALLY THE NICEST THING YOU'VE EVER SAID TO HER]

[ She smirks a little. ] Really. [ That she knows of really. She's not up to date with all the VK's ]

Gosh, Audrey, keep sweet-talking me like that and I might even start feeling bad for constantly badmouthing you.

Look- we don't get along, that's fine. [ She doesn't get along with half of Auradon tbh. ] That's how it is. But we're both stuck here- might as well at least know we have each other's backs.

Same universe solidarity, right? I mean, I'd probably even ally with somebody like Chad in a place like this.

[AUDREY YOUR BOYFRIEND IS THE WOOORST]

Something like that. At least we know what each other is capable of.

[ UGH not boyfriend anymore, just easily manipulated man-child ]

He wouldn't be any help at all. He'd actually make things worse.

If he does end up showing up, I owe him a punch in the arm. His dumb dad nearly got me killed a little while back. [forgets she wanted to delay them knowing that bc fuckin charmings]

I hope he doesn't show up, the one perk is that at least my phone isn't constantly going off with texts or voicemails from him.

[ But there's a small pause as she processes that second part. ] Wait... nearly got you killed? You're telling me his dad was in that other place you were?

... Ah, yeah, kinda? But, younger. I never really got if it was timeline stuff or universes... But, Hades was there, my dad, Gaston, couple others... Not too many of your kind [y'know, heroes] but a few.

Either way, he was totally willing to let me chop up a body he knew wasn't really dead 'cause that whole family is full of total jerks!

[ She's wrinkling her nose... is it disgust at Charming or at chopping up a live body? We'll never know. ]

Gross. Ugh, oh my god- so another rule of thumb here is to just not trust the Charmings in general. Chad would totally sell us out if it meant he'd be okay. [ Bc he's a coward and not whipped enough to think of her before him. ] Or better yet, just hope for zero Charmings at all.

Man, I missed all the exciting stuff back home, didn't I? I wouldn't have guessed you'd be back on the royal market, Princess.

Chad is clingy and that's only a good thin when you need something done. [ Otherwise? Annoying af. ]

So, instead, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather took me on a much needed spa vacay. Honestly, I've just kind of cut myself off from the school for the moment. It's easier that way, for everyone involved.

[ No one's filled her in about Chad's antics in her absence. Not that she really cares. ]

Well, you're in luck, 'cause-- and I can tell you this personally-- opening up your dating pool to other universes really ups your chances.

Oh? [ She raises an eyebrow at that ] Does that mean you're dating someone?
