[Today you found a ticket to a theme park. It seems relatively normal, except that it reads: Lifetime Parkhopper Pass to Progress City. ”The Most Magical Pocket Dimension in the Multiverse!” This is not a theme park you have ever heard of, if you live in a world where theme parks are of the norm.

For some reason you’re drawn to the ticket. There’s something… magical in this piece of paper, and you can practically hear it calling out to you, and you feel compelled to pick it up. It’s strange, but it’s a piece of paper, what’s the worst that could happen?

However, the moment you pick it up, you feel yourself being pulled. There is nothing pulling you but there is an overwhelming sensation that something is pulling you by the chest into the ground. You don’t have time to process what’s going on before you suddenly fall over, the strange feeling going away the moment you hit the ground.

It takes a few moments for you to regain your bearings, but as you look up you are suddenly hit with the fact that, wherever you were before, you certainly aren’t there anymore. It appears to be a transport station of some sort, and a very sleek and new one at that. Monorails pass by the station every couple of minutes, with small, slower moving vehicles consistently move in and out of the center.

The innermost wall, right behind where you stand, is lined with portals. It appears that you came in through this portal, but if you try to go back the way you came in, you’ll find that you are unable to enter it, no matter how hard you try.

While the realization that you are now trapped in this strange place, you will soon find that you also have a strange band strapped to your dominant wrist. No matter how hard you try to take it off, it seems like it’s stuck on there.

At least you’re not alone, along with a bunch of other people who arrived around the same time you did, there are humanoid people who seemed to be intrigued by your arrival. They’re all generally nice, but get confused if you ask them why you’re here and why you can’t leave. They will, however, happily tell you the name of the place you’re in if you ask:

Progress City.]

[ Michiru doesn't quite remember touching the ticket, nor does she remember anything about it. As she lay dying and inching closer to Haruka, she must have brushed it without intending to. So, to wake up in what she was sure must have been the afterlife was a little jarring but not entirely unexpected. What was unexpected was the wristband on her right wrist, teal and shimmering with glitter.

And her henshin wand and mirror on the ground next to her, along with a purse that she assumed was meant to be hers. Quickly, before they could be questioned, she shoved them into the bag and slung it over her shoulder, her lips pursing together. ]

Is this heaven or hell?

[ And would Haruka join her if it were one or the other? ]

[Hello have a girl who's been to both heaven AND hell.]

Definitely neither, but if it's anything like the places I've been it's probably closer to hell.

[ With all Michiru's been through, it's amazing she hasn't been to either. Thanks reincarnation. She smiles slightly at the girl who answered her and breathes out a short laugh. ]

I'm not sure if that's comforting or not.

Since we've been kidnapped and all? You should definitely be worried.

One thing at a time, I suppose.

[ For one, she expected to wake up dead. So being kidnapped? Was something she could deal with. ]

Worrying doesn't necessarily accomplish much.

[Ariel didn't really hear what she said but... she's staring at her. She practically has stars in her eyes.]

Your hair is like the ocean. It's beautiful!

[ It's more than alright since Michiru had meant it as a rhetorical question more than anything else. Even more importantly, she was rather fond of compliments and this one took her by surprise-

Yet she was beaming. ]

Oh! Thank you, that's very kind of you.

[She grins. This woman is so lovely!]

Oh yeah... are you okay? I know this is a scary situation.

[ Though Michiru isn't trusting of strangers so soon, it was hard to not trust her right away. She pauses a moment, considering her answer, before nodding her head. ]

I appear to be... better than expected, thank you. Have you been through something like this before?

Yeah... This is the second time really. And last time they made us try to kill each other. It was awful...

[ Well, that stops her in her tracks, so to speak. The smile fades, though her eyes remain soft. ]

I'm sorry what? You're not serious, are you? [ Though... she already knew the answer to that ]

Not heaven, sorry. Heaven's more... Mexican than this.

[As far as she saw, but she didn't stay around to really get a closer look.]

[ See the confusion on her face? It takes her a moment before she huffs out a small laugh at that. ]

Is it, then? How curious.

[Yeaaaah, she's pretty used to that look by now. She sees it in the mirror, every so often.]

Yeah! It's pretty cool, too. Really beats the Underworld, even if that place has got a cool coliseum in it.

[Wendy why are you talking about this.]

Well, I haven't seen a coliseum here either... So if it's neither heaven nor hell...

[ She pauses and, really this entire conversation seems so ridiculous... ]

That makes all of this even more puzzling.

Neither, but. Not in the limbo sense, I guess, [ keith manages once he's been talked down after, ah, verbally assaulting a few of the denizens of this place. ]

I figure we've been sucked into another dimension.

[lipsticklez]

No? [ Had Michiru been brought here at any other time, it's entirely likely that she'd have joined in the verbal assault... As it is, she was mostly expecting to just wake up dead. ]

Though I think alternate dimensions seems a little more far-fetched than the afterlife I was expecting...

You were dying. [ it's sort of a question, sort of not. keith doesn't know how to react to the subject and the fact that he's lowered his voice is at least a sign of attempted sensitivity. forgive him – he's still finding his bearings. ] I"m pretty sure most people here are still alive.

I've visited an alternate dimension. It was just as weird.

[ He was the first person to gather this from everyone she's spoken to so far... which was, perhaps, what shocked her most. She nods her head, slowly. ]

I... I was. Yes. [ There's more than a little relief that washes over her as he continues on about alternate dimensions- and she can't help but laugh quietly. ]

Judging this one by the bracelets we're wearing so far? I have a feeling this one might be strange as well.

[pushdagger]

Maybe it saved you. [ he shrugs nonchalantly but that is definitely something to think about. just how powerful are these – beings anyway? whoever brought them here in the first place. ]

I haven't figured out what these things do. [ he holds his wrist up, glaring at it. ]

I certainly hope it's neither... I have class today, though I have a feeling I'm not going to make that either. Haruka-chan would complain if I got into trouble without her, at any rate. I had bad enough luck getting attacked by monsters, now I'm being spirited away to interdimensional theme parks? I'll never hear the end of it!

[The "complaining" is in a light tone; it isn't too serious a concern.]

[ Class- Michiru wishes she only had something so trivial to worry about. Though the mention of 'Haruka-chan' draws her attention well enough. She turns her attention to the other girl and tilts her head. ] I think being absent from class is the least of your worries today...

Does your 'Haruka-chan' complain about being left behind a lot? [ It doesn't sound like her own- and certainly she knows everyone that Haruka does... but her curiosity is piqued regardless. ]

Not specifically about being left behind, no. But I've gone off on an adventure without her, and saving me when something happens is kind of her thing. It's happened...

[She counts on her fingers.]

-that first time with Close, the time with the Sun Key, the time on the hill, and then the last one... Four times now? She does her work as a Princess well-, ah, did her work well, that's in the past now. But still, I think she'd take me disappearing into thin air personally.

[Yui giggles slightly, largely aware this probably makes no sense, but it's explanation enough. Probably.]

[ It's... well it's an explanation, that's for sure. Michiru blinks and hides her laugh behind her hand. ]

Well, if saving you is her specialty- I can see how this might be a personal affront. [ Even if she's not sure what half of that meant. ] I've met others who are lucky enough to have people close to them here, for better or worse. I still haven't decided if I would wish that on my own Haruka.

[ That should be explanation enough for why she took such interest in the name ]

[Yui's eyes widen as she realizes what that means, before she calms a bit and smiles.]

Oh, I get it. I mean, it'd be weird if you knew a Haruka, and she were the same person as my Haruka-chan, but we didn't know each other... But in any event, no, I don't think I'd necessarily want her to be here. Not without knowing what's going on, and not when she has dreams of her own to chase. It would ease my mind, certainly, but she'll be better off at Noble Academy.
