[Today you found a ticket to a theme park. It seems relatively normal, except that it reads: Lifetime Parkhopper Pass to Progress City. ”The Most Magical Pocket Dimension in the Multiverse!” This is not a theme park you have ever heard of, if you live in a world where theme parks are of the norm.

For some reason you’re drawn to the ticket. There’s something… magical in this piece of paper, and you can practically hear it calling out to you, and you feel compelled to pick it up. It’s strange, but it’s a piece of paper, what’s the worst that could happen?

However, the moment you pick it up, you feel yourself being pulled. There is nothing pulling you but there is an overwhelming sensation that something is pulling you by the chest into the ground. You don’t have time to process what’s going on before you suddenly fall over, the strange feeling going away the moment you hit the ground.

It takes a few moments for you to regain your bearings, but as you look up you are suddenly hit with the fact that, wherever you were before, you certainly aren’t there anymore. It appears to be a transport station of some sort, and a very sleek and new one at that. Monorails pass by the station every couple of minutes, with small, slower moving vehicles consistently move in and out of the center.

The innermost wall, right behind where you stand, is lined with portals. It appears that you came in through this portal, but if you try to go back the way you came in, you’ll find that you are unable to enter it, no matter how hard you try.

While the realization that you are now trapped in this strange place, you will soon find that you also have a strange band strapped to your dominant wrist. No matter how hard you try to take it off, it seems like it’s stuck on there.

At least you’re not alone, along with a bunch of other people who arrived around the same time you did, there are humanoid people who seemed to be intrigued by your arrival. They’re all generally nice, but get confused if you ask them why you’re here and why you can’t leave. They will, however, happily tell you the name of the place you’re in if you ask:

Progress City.]

Maybe it saved you. [ he shrugs nonchalantly but that is definitely something to think about. just how powerful are these – beings anyway? whoever brought them here in the first place. ]

I haven't figured out what these things do. [ he holds his wrist up, glaring at it. ]

Maybe...

[ But why? That was another question entirely. She eyes his wristband and at the admission that he doesn't know what it does, she hides a laugh behind her hand. ]

I'll admit, I have no clue myself. Just that it won't come off. I wonder if we'll get any explanation for all of this.

I've been trying to figure it out with my friend. [ he just called lance a friend which is Important. ] No answers so far. These people aren't exactly helpful. [ he's practically seething through gritted teeth which isn't the best first impression but it's not exactly the happiest place on earth right now.

chill out, boy. he inhales slowly. ]

I'm Keith, by the way.

You have a friend here? [ If only she were so lucky. ] I don't think just anyone would understand what's happening, you'd have to ask someone higher up for quality answers...

[ So... go straight to the mayor and figure out wtf is happening and demand some real answers.

She smiles softly. ]

Michiru, it's a pleasure to meet you, Keith. [ She's even holding out her hand to shake his. ] Despite the odd circumstances.

Yeah, same. [ he looks wary but not of the young woman with green hair. ] Really. Do you wanna explore this place?

It beats standing around here and hoping I see a familiar face.

[ She points over to the monorail and the slower moving seats. ] Where do you suppose those lead?

Probably more productive. Maybe your friends will follow you. [ though maybe it's for the best that they don't. at least until they figure out what this is all about. ]

Wanna take one of them? [ but before he can answer, he's going to head in that direction without waiting for her. ]

Let's.

[ She can only hope that at least one will show up. But that's neither here nor there.

She adjusts the strap on her purse and moves to follow him over. She should be more careful, considering everything she's been through... and how skeptical most people have been as soon as she's talked with them. But she needed allies if Haruka and the others weren't here... and this doesn't stop her from keeping up her guard. ]

The monorail should get us somewhere faster... wherever that might be.

[ allies, keith has to admit, are important. now he might not be the most social of the paladins but he is at least an observant one and doesn't sense anything malicious about the young woman he's just met. they both seem to have the same goals ( though most people here would share in them as well ).

he keeps up with her instead of following, watching as a monorail leaves the station just as they arrive.

he crosses his arms. ]

Let's see where it goes.

[ Michiru nods her head and crosses are arms as she watches the monorail depart. ]

I've spoken with a few people who seem to be concerned with this situation. [ A pause as she tries to gather the correct way of phrasing this... ] They've been kidnapped to dimensions before like this where the sole purpose was murdering others... There seems to be cause for suspicion that this place could be similar in design.

Death without cause –

[ he doesn't like that. he doesn't like kliling anyone but if he has to, if getting rid of someone meant saving lives – he's done it before. none of it was senseless as this sounds. ]

So, we should start thinking about ways out.

[ Dying again doesn't necessarily scare her- but for it to be pointless. ]

I think that would be for the best. And see who we can trust to help out of here as well.

[ She has a few on her list already, honestly. ]

Have you met anyone who works here fulltime yet?

[ other than the newbies, of course. ]

I haven't... Just a few confused newcomers like ourselves.

Me neither. Just – a friend from home and some guy eating a turkey leg. Or some kind of bird.

Just walking around eating a turkey leg? And not from here originally?

[ At that moment, she finds it really difficult not to laugh, honestly. She covers her mouth as she giggles and shakes her head. ]

How interesting. I have to wonder what goes through one's mind for them to immediately decide that's what to do immediately after arriving.

[ She perks a little as the monorail returns and stops in front of them. ]

I believe this is our ride.

No.... it was weird. [ but. ah, even stone-faced keith has to chuckle quietly as he recalls the strange image. ]

I mean, he was probably hungry, [ he doesn't hesitate to add as the doors slide open to this sleek vehicle and he steps aboead. ]
