Intro Log

Who: Everyone!
What: Your first magical day
Where: Progress City Tranport Center
When: Right now
Warnings: None planned!

[Today you found a ticket to a theme park. It seems relatively normal, except that it reads: Lifetime Parkhopper Pass to Progress City. ”The Most Magical Pocket Dimension in the Multiverse!” This is not a theme park you have ever heard of, if you live in a world where theme parks are of the norm.

For some reason you’re drawn to the ticket. There’s something… magical in this piece of paper, and you can practically hear it calling out to you, and you feel compelled to pick it up. It’s strange, but it’s a piece of paper, what’s the worst that could happen?

However, the moment you pick it up, you feel yourself being pulled. There is nothing pulling you but there is an overwhelming sensation that something is pulling you by the chest into the ground. You don’t have time to process what’s going on before you suddenly fall over, the strange feeling going away the moment you hit the ground.

It takes a few moments for you to regain your bearings, but as you look up you are suddenly hit with the fact that, wherever you were before, you certainly aren’t there anymore. It appears to be a transport station of some sort, and a very sleek and new one at that. Monorails pass by the station every couple of minutes, with small, slower moving vehicles consistently move in and out of the center.

The innermost wall, right behind where you stand, is lined with portals. It appears that you came in through this portal, but if you try to go back the way you came in, you’ll find that you are unable to enter it, no matter how hard you try.

While the realization that you are now trapped in this strange place, you will soon find that you also have a strange band strapped to your dominant wrist. No matter how hard you try to take it off, it seems like it’s stuck on there.

At least you’re not alone, along with a bunch of other people who arrived around the same time you did, there are humanoid people who seemed to be intrigued by your arrival. They’re all generally nice, but get confused if you ask them why you’re here and why you can’t leave. They will, however, happily tell you the name of the place you’re in if you ask:

Progress City.]

[How is this guy just so well-composed regardless of what Sheldon throws at him. He can't decide if he likes or hates the fact that he's just smiling and laughing in the face of this.]

Right. Is anyone really fond of that?

[Then again, how often does that even happen to. Uh. Anyone.]

And you do make a fair point there! [He's not gonna pass up a chance to talk about himself.] Name's Sheldon Plankton, future mayor. Unless you're the current mayor, in which case I really need to have a word with you.

[Its Ardyn, he's pretty much well composed in regards to everything. Someone could die in front of him right now and he'd just shrug and say 'Same shit, different day!". You could try and kill him and it wouldn't really phase him at this point. ]

You have a point, I suppose no one is.

[He gives a slight snort and shakes his head.] Considering I just got here myself it would be very hard to be the mayor already, wouldn't it? Ah! But anyway, I am Ardyn Izunia, delighted to make your acquaintance! [In regular fashion, he gives Plankton a tip of his hat and a flashy bow, coming back up with a grin on his face. ]

If you don't mind me asking...why do you need to speak to the mayor? I suppose to ask why we all were brought here? Or do you have other things in mind? [He sure is hinting at the fact you called yourself future mayor. He's curious, he can't help it. ]

It would only be hard if you lack ambition.

[goddamn casual not even trying to take over the city on day 1... but Sheldon has to hand it to him, he's got one hell of a charming introduction. An introduction that he conveniently skims over when he replies, because he's briefly caught off guard, between the bowing and the grinning and how overall dramatic and captivating this guy is right off the bat. Convenient, then, that Ardyn's presented something else for him to talk about. He doesn't want to reevaluate his tastes right now much less have a gay crisis by thinking too long about it.]

Actually I just want to know if there is a mayor. Because if not then the position's entirely up for grabs-- and I intend to grab it.

[He's really never heard of subtlety in his life when it comes to schemes.]

I only got here moments ago, maybe 5 minutes, and you think it would be possible to be mayor in that allotted time? Ha! Even for me, that is unlikely. It is not that I lack ambition exactly, I have plenty of it! It is just that mayor is something I would not be after.

[Titles mean shit to Ardyn anymore.]

I'm afraid I can't help you in knowing if there is a mayor...but I suppose I could help you get the position, if you would wish.

[Whatever the fuck that means. How do you help people again?]

Well, hey, suit yourself! More votes for the rest of us. And by the rest of us I mean me.

[He just scoffs at the unhelpful response, looking distinctly peeved.]

You know, at this rate I don't actually believe there's a mayor at all. If there is, they're doing a real lousy job of COMMUNICATING with their CONSTITUENTS. I mean, at least with me in charge you'd know if I was planning on--

[It, uh. Takes about that long into the rant before his mind replays Ardyn's offer and actually processes it, and he turns his head to stare at him briefly, an odd mixture of complete surprise and wary distrust in his expression.]

--what, really? You-- [he's never had anyone this competent seemingly genuinely be willing to support his efforts, this is obviously a trick. He crosses his arms, suspicious.] --what's the catch? You're not getting anything out of this, I can tell you that right now, buddy.

[You really shouldn't trust Ardyn in all honesty. There's always a catch....except this time there isn't. He's bored already and obviously he can do nothing about his own plans so why not help someone else? ]

Yes, really. [He shrugs.] There's no catch, my friend. I am willing to help you to the best of my ability. [The only thing Ardyn wants out of this is friendship!maybe more ;) ]

Well, how can I say no to an offer like that? Consider yourself hired. How does 'campaign manager' sound to you?
