EVENT LOG PT. 2: Chum City
Who: Everyone!
What: Progress City is completely overrun.
Where: EPCOT, spilling out into Progress City eventually.
When: May 25th - June 2nd.
Warnings: Goblins.
At some point, you're going to notice...something emerging from the Dreamscape Room. They're not really all that big, about the size of a small child maybe, but here's the thing. There's a lot of them, and they're everywhere:
They never outright resort to physical violence, but every time you look, there's more of them than you know what to do with. They're everywhere, inconveniencing you in the most annoying of ways. Swarming you at all times, cutting you in line for rides and food, generally overpopulating the park. The place tries to operate at normal capacity, but your daily lives are going to be completely interrupted by miniature goblins that look...somewhat familiar.
The nusiances seem to be originating from the Dreamscape Room, and it seems like it's up to you to get rid of them somehow. Maybe figure out why they're there in the first place, because it seems like there could be a political scandal abound. But otherwise? Seems like those cards of your's could come in handy.

I take it this infestation isn't an everyday occurrence? Give me a couple of hours, and I might just build a solution for this mess.
[Bunsen adjusts his glasses, then lifts them as he peers closer at the creatures. Which is...really ineffective, seeing as he has no visible eyes.]
Interesting. Usually, you'd see these creatures under a microscope. Perhaps someone got a hold of my old invention, the germ enlarger.
[Immediately, he uses his Thunder card on the gross little thing, putting it out of its misery. Listen, he's gay, tired, and new in town.]
...Oh! Silly me, where are my manners? I'm Bunsen Honeydew, founder of Muppet Labs. I'm new here, I think. This place looks a lot like Disney World, yet for some reason isn't.

It takes a moment or two for him to actually speak.]

[It's been...months since he's last seen anyone from home, much less Bunsen, of all people. This has to be a trick, right?]

[His voice cracks, overall super ecstatic to be reunited with his lab assistant again.]
Where have you been? How have you been? You've been missing for about a month or so! I was so worried!
[Screw it, he's going in for a hug- then a playful light punch after. Actually, he's going to get rid of a dozen more tiny gremlins with the Thunder card, which, surprisingly doesn't hit Beaker for the time being? Probably for the best.]
I asked Mr. Kermit if he's seen you around- the group hasn't been doing too well after our cancellation.

[His words are rushed, as if he barely has the time to say any of this. Lord, he's been everywhere these past few months--he was trapped in some sort of collective subconscious city for a while, met a few people--actually, he met the Doctor! From Doctor Who! It was super weird and freaky but also cool! And, and--
He barely finishes his sentence when the swarm of bees starts coming his way and he starts screaming, running off in the other direction. He tries to grab Bunsen's hand and tug him out of harm's way.]

[Has he done an experiment with bees yet? Probably not, and now's not the time in an uncontrolled environment to form some hypothesis.
So he's holding on, practically dragged along the way and rambling out loud about card mechanics and struggling to use the Dragon Cannon card.]

[He just got to see Bunsen again--no way is he letting him get stung to death by bees! He sort of wildly gestures to the Magic Band on his wrist, then the card in his breast pocket. Then he stops, glancing towards Bunsen's wrist.]

[Wait! Does he have any cards? They might be more useful than the Genie Lamp, at least.]

[Bunsen finally manages to use his card for the Dragon Cannon. And in true Muppet fashion, it kind of? Immediately blows up in his face the first thing.
It gives them a boost at the same time though, those goblins are as good as dust behind them.]

[He coughs and waves smoke out of his face. It's fine, they're fine.]

[He screams as they get flung away from the crowd. At least they're safe...from things other than themselves, that is.
Would be weird to say that Beaker is weirdly...happy that cannon sort of backfired? He's missed this old man and his dumbass antics. He's been messing up on his own, but that's just not the same without someone else to mess things up with, too. Despite the fact that his face is absolutely covered in soot, he goes in for a hug.]

He's still strategically chilling under a bench when Bunsen shows up, which is just as well given that the cards Jed's stuck with aren't really good for... blowing things up (which is wildly disappointing). Honestly, blowing 'em back with wind and blinding 'em only does so much, plus there's the fact that he's been too cautious to even try venturing out of the shadows. All adds up to just making him wildly inefficient in this particular battle.
But in any case he's watched enough shitty sci-fi monster movies during movie nights to piece together what happened here. Questionable scientist? Gremlins??? Old inventions?????]
