EVENT END: The New Mayor
Who: Everyone!
What: The end of the election event
Where: Park in Aqua District
When: 5/6.
Warnings: The new mayor, for one thing.
[On Sunday morning, everyone will wake up to a new card of their choice, along with a note asking everyone to meet in the park at noon for the announcement of the new mayor.
At noon, Rod shows up on the stage, looking somehow more exhausted than the day he broke down.]
Before we announce the new mayor, I want to make a few announcements.
First of all, Red and I have decided to start a city council, and we’ll be able to accept or reject law according to the suitability and reasonability of them. This applies to me as well.
Second of all, in the event that any mayor who isn’t a native manages to leave the city, I will become the temporary mayor again and, in the event that we have time, hold another debate and election as soon as possible.
Lastly, no matter who is elected mayor, they will not obtain the means to alter or control this pocket dimension, so I am still technically the owner of it. This is because both objects are insanely powerful, and we need something more than a mere vote to decide on who gets them. You may think it’s unfair, but I know first hand that its magic is horrifying in the wrong hands.
[He sighs, before he continues.]
Due to the nature of my announcements, you have probably already guessed that I am not the mayor anymore. I cannot say that I personally agree with who you voted for, but I promised myself I wouldn’t be a dictator, and I certainly hope the new mayor will honor it and try to uphold our moral code.
And so… I would like to welcome our new Mayor…. [he weakly gestures.] Sheldon J. Plankton.
(ooc: new card assignments for voters and ooc vote numbers can be found here!)

[She sounds more excited about the prospect of stickers]

[Fuck he hadn't thought this far ahead.]
You'll win a prize.

I'm gonna do it.
[THE CONTRACT IS SEALED.]

[Stop enabling her.]

[Little does he have a need for the cash, he'll make note of it.]
There's no way he'd really get rid of the dole whips.

[You bet she’s out for blood with that remark. She’s not taking this quietly. Maybe not loudly as some, but she has her own way of rebellion. She’ll use it.]

[Said with a grin. He appreciates her determination, in whatever form it takes.]
If you make his job taxing enough, he might just resign.
[Plankton hardly seems like he knows what to do, anyway.]

[This was therapeutic, it really was. For now anyway, until she had to find out how to properly survive. Which she will, in due time.]
How's the cat handling it? Probably just as lightly.

[Not that he, as a security guard, would advocate for breaking and entering in a scheme to make a newly elected government official's life a living hell or anything. Except he definitely would.]
Surprised at the outcome, but hardly concerned. I don't think anyone can take our new mayor seriously.
