EVENT LOG: Debate Time!
Who: All the candidates, debate moderators, everyone.
What: Progress City's first Mayoral Debate.
Where: Park in Aqua District.
When: 4/29.
Warnings: Mudslinging and Dumpster Fires.
[Alright, impromptu election. Got it.
Bill takes on the liberties of organizing a debate, making sure to space it out a couple days to give the candidates some time to prepare. The park in the pink district is chosen as a venue, given the relatively decent weather, and a large stage is constructed in the middle of it. There are a number of podiums set up for the candidates, a table and microphone down in front for debate moderators and those simply wanting to ask questions, and a good number of chairs for those wanting to see a living and breathing dumpster fire.
The whole thing is catered by Joffrey's, too, so at least you have free coffee to get you through the death of Progress City's sanity as we know it.]

Say "69!" [IT'S JOSH SO IT'S AS GOOD A GUESS AS ANY]
no subject
...Sixty-nine?
no subject
[At the guess however, Joshua giggles.]
Not a bad guess. [He doesn't say whether or not it's the correct answer though, instead making a note of something here before he speaks.] Alright, next question: what is your opinion on memes, and which do you believe is the best one to represent our fair city?
[If he has to explain what a meme is, you lose points.]
no subject
Josh, my candidate is from pre-Revolutionary France! She doesn't know about your weird future junk!

[She pronounces it like même.]
I believe that...a sense of self is very important. Not everything ought to be uniform, or one risks losing what makes him or her unique. For...for example, if everyone were to wear the same hat, nobody would be unique any longer.
[i'll take 'accidental memes' for 500, alex]

You know what, it's creative. I'll take it.
[Jots down another note.]
Next question: of all the compliments in the world, what is the best compliment you can give your esteemed debate moderator right now?
[josh are you seriously going to judge candidates on how well they can flatter you here--wait this is josh, of course he's gonna do that]
no subject
Well, she doesn't quite understand, but she'll take it.
A compliment, however...It's unorthodox, but Belle can at least fake it. Strange girl though she may be, she knows the things that people like to hear, simply from observation.]
...Your hair is very well-kept. It's nice and shiny.

[She gives him an uncertain smile.]
Are there any further questions?
