EVENT LOG: Debate Time!
Who: All the candidates, debate moderators, everyone.
What: Progress City's first Mayoral Debate.
Where: Park in Aqua District.
When: 4/29.
Warnings: Mudslinging and Dumpster Fires.
[Alright, impromptu election. Got it.
Bill takes on the liberties of organizing a debate, making sure to space it out a couple days to give the candidates some time to prepare. The park in the pink district is chosen as a venue, given the relatively decent weather, and a large stage is constructed in the middle of it. There are a number of podiums set up for the candidates, a table and microphone down in front for debate moderators and those simply wanting to ask questions, and a good number of chairs for those wanting to see a living and breathing dumpster fire.
The whole thing is catered by Joffrey's, too, so at least you have free coffee to get you through the death of Progress City's sanity as we know it.]

The very best of luck to such a dedicated candidate.

( sorry, she's just.
a little overcome. it means a lot to have someone's support — anyone's support, even, as the daughter of a villain with a rep to match. she hardly knows eclipsa, and still, she believes in her.
so evie may or may not be flinging herself at eclipsa for perhaps the world's — or at least progress city's — biggest hug. hopefully she doesn't mind. )

But after the moment passes, her little smile returns and she lets her arms rest around Evie, patting her on the back.]
There there, dear, its quite alright.

either way, it's a good hug. one that she doesn't want to end, in all honesty — but she makes herself, because she's trying to look poised and dignified here at this event so she can get votes and keep the gross old men out of power. there's a giggle of an exhale when she lets her hands drop to her sides, a sheepish little smile gracing the corners of her mouth.
those definitely aren't the faintest of tears in the corners of her eyes — they're not. imagine if her mascara got ruined. )
Sorry. I think I had a little moment there.

[She pulls out a hankerchief to clean off some minor grime from earlier which totally definitely exists and isn't an excuse to offer Evie it.]
