EVENT LOG: Debate Time!
Who: All the candidates, debate moderators, everyone.
What: Progress City's first Mayoral Debate.
Where: Park in Aqua District.
When: 4/29.
Warnings: Mudslinging and Dumpster Fires.
[Alright, impromptu election. Got it.
Bill takes on the liberties of organizing a debate, making sure to space it out a couple days to give the candidates some time to prepare. The park in the pink district is chosen as a venue, given the relatively decent weather, and a large stage is constructed in the middle of it. There are a number of podiums set up for the candidates, a table and microphone down in front for debate moderators and those simply wanting to ask questions, and a good number of chairs for those wanting to see a living and breathing dumpster fire.
The whole thing is catered by Joffrey's, too, so at least you have free coffee to get you through the death of Progress City's sanity as we know it.]

[She's about to sit down but:]
Oh, sorry, almost forgot: there was this local theater production about a girl named Belle in the castle of a handsome Beast that I..... enjoyed. Is that depiction close to the truth?
no subject
...Oh! I'm...not certain 'handsome' is the word I'd have used, but...that's correct, I was trapped in his castle for a time before I came here. You said you saw this in a theater?
no subject
Well, never mind, I assume there's some liberties in that story then?

[Belle repeats the word almost under her breath, incredulously.]
...Yes, I'd say so. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. If...if there are any campaign questions you might have, I can certainly answer them.

[Eclipsa doesn't really show disapproval but there's a different tone to her constant cat-like smile.]
Very well then, how do you feel about relationships between monsters and humans or Mewmans.
no subject
Well, without any firsthand experience, I can't judge for myself, but...if two people care for each other, I see no reason to keep them apart. Love is...special, and important. Nothing can change that.

Hello, Star! If that's what you wanted to do, I'd hardly see a problem with it.
