A: Working Hard

[As far as restaurants went in the Hollywood studios area, you could definitely do worse than Pizza Planet. The space-themed restaurant managed to stand out from its surroundings, and also fit in entirely with the style of the park itself. Large robotic-looking animatronics guard the front doors, giving way as you enter into a world of arcades and good that is Actually Not Bad. Not to mention varied, beyond just pizza. Wendy's opinion was firm, there were definitely worse places to work.

Of course, Wendy wasn't alone in this. Thankfully, she had Daria. Between the two of them working the registers, it's a wonder that everyone's getting their orders so quickly. But they're here anyway, ready to take your order! Or not. At least they're supposed to.]

B: Hardly Working

[Break time! Music to Wendy's ears. Is is actually break time? Maybe. What are you gonna say about it? As far as right now goes, there's just enough time for her to shrug off responsibilities and go check out the plethora of arcade machines in here.

From space-themed cabinets, to space-themed crane machines, to even the stranger things, like... whatever this is referencing. Either way, Wendy's currently owning at it, smacking down every alien head that pops out of the body with the practiced finesse of someone that's really good at hitting things.

And if she runs out of time, well, the storage compartment for the coin slot sure is wide open right now.]

For once, I would actually agree with a sentiment like that.

[A somewhat friendly air of sarcasm toward Wendy came from the counter by another woman who was reading a novel. She looked up and actually noticed it was Person She Found Out Was Pretty Cool #2. It caused her to put her book down and actually want to get in on the conversation. Both of them were here, so...hey, it was nice and she would be dumb to not take advantage of it, right?]

Oh, hey, Belle. Nice of you to join our twisted space colony we have going on around here.

[Belle looks around, seeing the redheaded employee waving at her. Belle remembers seeing her, vaguely, when hse'd arrived, among all the other newcomers. But she hasn't met her yet. Vaguely, Belle wonders if this is another person who knew the 'other' Belle.]

I should say so, this place seems...fascinating!

[She turns at the sound of a second voice, and her smile widens.]

Daria! It's so good to see you, I wondered if I'd ever run into you again. What exactly is this place?

Oh man, you guys know each other already? Man, I have to step up too then.

[She puts on a lopsided grin, gesturing to the machines around her with one hand. Belle was... someone she hadn't interacted much with, the 'other' Belle, that was. Maybe now's the time when she really gets to know her. She seemed nice.]

I'm Wendy, by the way. And you're in Pizza Planet, best place to be if you want cool arcade games and pretty good pizza all in one place.

[Gang was all here. Allow her to leave the counter and assist the situation. Actually move her lazy butt. Belle probably needed to be eased into this, since she was from a time beyond the times probably either of them were from. So all the more to team up with Wendy.]

Pizza and video games, two of some of the greatest modern inventions. None of them refined or dignified by any means.

[She seemed to be in a good mood all of the sudden. Odd.]

Yup, all these boxes full of wires and junk. Each ones got a different game in it that you can play. Perfect for passing time, or money.

Life’s too short after all, modern youth can pass all of their time on them. Helps especially when you get drafted.

Come on, we’ll show you the ropes if you want. Besides, you’re going to have to get integrated into modern technology to function around here. Best to start learning when you can in an unstifling environment.

[Belle looks back and forth between Wendy and Daria with a faint look of amusement—or is it incredulity? But she's also eager to learn about all of this.]

No, I haven't. We didn't know of it in Villeneuve. But the games, they seem straightforward. Amusements, with flashing lights and sounds.

[She nods happily toward Daria.] I'd like that very much.

Well yeah, but... [Did Belle really not know things? Sure, there wasn't pizza in that hotel, at least from what she saw. In either case, that made this situation even more dire.

She shrugs her shoulders, gesturing back to Daria.]

Hey, I'm all for showing people some of the finer things in life. [Turns to Belle, gives her a "come here" gesture before walking over to the kitchen.] Let's get you some pizza, and then we'll show you how to be awesome in the arcade. How's that sound?

[Because she totally remembered being a brat earlier about it. But hey, she was having fun. She hardly has that.]

[Wendy's voice reaches from within the kitchen before she comes back out, holding a paper plate with a single slice of pizza on it. Pepperoni, just for a start.]
