Event log END: Plankton tried and failed

[It’s over. The Dreamfinder is saved. The Plankton Gremlins are gone, and everything is back to normal.

Well, mostly.

The very next morning, everyone who participated in the festival/saving the festival will once again wake up with a brand new card and an invitation for an emergency meeting.

Once again Rod is there, and once again he looks tired but he stands up straight once a crowd gathers.]

Good morning everyone, due to recent events Red and I had an emergency meeting on the state of affairs. I know this may be rash, and it might not be a popular opinion since he’s only been mayor for a month. However, between kidnapping someone that i consider a friend and important asset to the town and letting loose gremlins on Epcot, we have no choice but to impeach Plankton, effective immediately. I am aware that this is usually the kind of decision one needs to vote for, but after all Plankton’s done after a month, along as never attending a single actual meeting, as the creator of this realm I believe I am perfectly justified in my decision.

We plan on holding another election in the near future, as I don’t want to keep status quo just because of one bad mayor. However, for the time being I will resume the role as the mayor, and I will happily listen to any remarks or criticisms anyone has about this scenario or about how we should run this place.

[OOC: Event end! As mentioned we will intend on holding another election in the future, but it will be a smaller event than the first election and it probably won't be the only monthly event in that case. If we left you out of the list or if you got a double please let us know and we’ll fix it right away!]

[Plankton absolutely seethes as Bagheera heads over, but manages to wipe most of it from his face by the time he actually turns around to face him.]

Yeah, well, the joke's on all of you because I already got to sleep in the mayor's office. Several times, in fact.

[SO WHO'S THE REAL WINNER HERE]

Besides, you weren't proven right at all. I still got elected, didn't I? Admit it, a month is longer than you were expecting which means I still win.

The place you chose to sleep at night has no correlation to this.

Yes, but I did tell you that anyone with common sense would never elect you, knowing the type of fool that you are. Once you showed everyone your true colors and acted like an idiot, you lost everything you hoped for. As I knew would happen.

[That's a little bit bullshit- Bagheera never thought Sheldon would get this far in the first place- but that just means seeing him fall on his face and fail is even sweeter.]

There is no winning here, for you. Only losing. Like the mayoral seat you just lost.

Doesn't it, though?

Look, I won it in the first place and that's what really matters. I'm counting it as a win. End of story, checkmate, the trophy's already on my shelf and you can't take it down.

You won it, but you couldn't keep it. That's not a win, that's a temporary mistake the universe has reset back in our favor.

Or maybe the universe was temporarily in our favor and now it's reset back to its horrible, miserable default state.

I won't debate the qualities of the universe with the likes of you, but I feel as though you have terribly, terribly misunderstood your own importance in the universe and exactly how dreadful your attempt to hold power truly was.
