Plankfest 2018
Who: Plankton and you
What: Announcing his first official event as mayor
Where: Transport Center
When: 5/16
[Good morning, guess who's back at it again with the annoying distribution of fliers? They're all over the ground and taped on every apartment door. And it's actually really, really easy to guess who they're from, given the text printed on them in bold font.]
PLANKFEST (PLANKTON FESTIVAL) 2018
-NEARLY-FREE FOOD
-FREE (+ sales tax) HATS
-FREE (+ small fee) PICTURES WITH THE MAYOR, WHOM WE ARE CELEBRATING
ATTENDANCE IS BASICALLY MANDATORY
(DETAILS @ THE TRANSPORT CENTER)
[So. There's that.
At the Transport Center, the mayor in question has his feet kicked up on a table that's piled high with several more stacks of the fliers. It's probably clear from his expression when he spots whoever approaches that, actually, he didn't really plan on anybody wanting further details. He just kind of wanted the opportunity to brag about his fliers in-person.]
Did you not get a flier? I told Richard to go distribute them. Here. Look.
[He just. Shoves a whole handful of them off the table and onto the ground before leaning back in his chair with a decidedly smug expression.]
I know, I know. A stroke of genius, isn't it? I bet Rod never held a Rod Festival or anything. It's inspired.

[Now this is something that Beaker is interested in. He carefully examines the posters while Dreamfinder is putting them up.]
Meemiimeep meemoo meep meemii? Meep meemii meep.
[He doesn't have to put the posters on top of the old posters? It's sort of rude. Even as much as Beaker dislikes plankton.]
no subject
[Dreamfinder recognizes what Beaker is getting at, and fully owns up to being passive aggressive. However, he disagrees with Mayor Plankton’s egotistical nature and chooses to exercise his freedom of speech while he still has those rights.]
no subject
Finally, someone who knows what he's talking about! Beaker nods enthusiastically.]
Meemoo, meemoo. Meep meemoo meep meemiimeep meep meemoo.
[Of course, of course. It's important to stand up against an incompetent and unjust ruler, after all.]
...Meemiimeep meemoo meep meemii? Moomii meep meemii meep meemiimeemoo moo meemiimeep miimeep meep meemii?
[...Does this city even have any sort of written laws? Or does it fall under the jurisdiction of whatever universe it's in?]
no subject
[The city has laws! However, as it’s adjacent and primarily focused on serving as an accompaniment to a theme park, they’re not as well-established as they should be. However, considering the recent influx of political activity, they would do well to better establish them. Dreamfinder is not, however, a politician.]
no subject
[Beaker scratches his head, thinking.]
Meemii meep meemoomeep meemii. Meep meemoo meep meemiimeep.
[Someone better establish a law firm or something--he can see the current mayor probably doing something to exploit the few laws that are in place. That is, if he ever actually realizes what power he has.]
