Mayor Rod's life is a living nightmare
Who: Rod, Bill, and you!
What: Start of the Election Event!
Where: The Transport Center
When: The morning on 4/22
Warnings: Robotic Body horror
[It was a normal morning in Progress City, and Rod is as overworked as ever. He gets off the monorail from Magic Kingdom, barely looking up from the papers he is currently reading over. It seems like all the stress of the city and the addition stress of people randomly getting stuck in the portal is getting to him. If robots could look exhausted, Rod would be a textbook example of that right now.
But that’s almost a daily sight at this point, and something most people wouldn’t find unusual at all at this point. What is unusual is when he suddenly grabs his chest and lets out a muffled cry of pain. He takes a few more steps to try to get to his office, but stops himself as he braces himself on the wall.
You can try to see if anything’s wrong with him, but he will brush it off with an “I’m fine, I just need a moment”.
However, it becomes abundantly clear that certainly not fine when he suddenly collapses to the ground, papers flying everywhere as he does so. While this seems like a normal collapse at first but if someone looks close at him, his limbs seem strangely disjointed under his clothes.
His limbs are falling off of his body.]

[Della's surprisingly unfazed by the whole pirate vs pirate fight going on over there, though she raises her hand to make sure the question is noticed over... all of that.]
Because if we are then I volunteer Bagheera.

[He raises his eyebrows, then smirks ever so slightly.]
I can get behind that.

[It's very quiet, but he does sound vaguely hurt by that.]

[He doesn't answer the second question because he's dying and this is literally being sprung on him as he does so.]

[now she just has to. actually convince Bagheera it's a worthwhile use of his time.]
Don't worry about a thing, Mr. Mayor. We can hash out all the details when you're feeling good enough to run a proper campaign.

[Bagheera has. Only been partially paying attention to this whole situation. He doesn't get human politics, and he's a little shaken after seeing Rod literally fall to pieces... is that something humans normally do??
But he's paid enough attention to hear Della's words.]
Are you serious?
no subject
[never mind the fact that he's just a security guard over there.]
I bet you have a ton of unique ideas to bring to the table here.

I'll be right there to help you, anyways. So will Snake! [it's fine she works in the same park as him. she knows him.] You'll do fine.
[besides, it's just the election process right now. she's... not actually sure what they'll do if he wins but they can cross that bridge when they get to it.]

Alright, alright, fine. I'll give it a shot.
[Despite his attitude, now that the surprise has worn off he actually does seem a little excited about the prospect of being elected to run this place.]
