a: Michiru @ Bijutsu-kan

[ For what it's worth, Michiru has settled in relatively well to start off. The job at a Gallery was promising, though it wasn't quite the gallery she was expecting. One on the kawaii culture of Japan seemed more along Usagi or Minako's expertise, though she wouldn't complain.

Things could certainly be worse.

Standing near the entrance to the Gallery, she offered written guides to guests as they walked in. While much of it was familiar, she was still familiarizing herself with the exhibits themselves. For now, unless requested, these informal guides will have to do. ]

b: Michiru @ the rec center

[ Swimming always calms her nerves. Though Michiru has managed a calm, and downright friendly, demeanor since arrival, she was anything but. In the little off time she has, she can be found swimming laps...

Quite a few of them. Rarely is she found lounging poolside, though when she is she looks to be asleep and possibly unapproachable. She's distracted, off in her own head, thinking only about home- about Haruka. What place would bring her here- save her- and leave her lover for dead? ]

c: Audrey @ Animal Kingdom

[ Audrey was not happy with her job assignment. There was no doubt she'd be undeniably flawless at it. She's rather perfect, after all. But it's not the job she deserves. There is likely a woman out there pretending to be her mother and who would be better at that than Audrey herself? She deserved that job, not to pretend to be a walking vine.

It was a few days of training before she finally got to be out as DiVine... and when she finally was, she was doing her best to move as fluidly as possible. It was a little easier to fall into character, despite hating this, as she heard people nearby gasp and comment on her beauty and grace.

It was good for them to notice.]

d: Audrey @ Magic Kingdom

[ Checking out the other parks on her time off was a priority for Audrey. She wanted to see what jobs she was lucky enough not to be stuck with- and also what jobs she'd ask for a promotion to in the future.

Also, she was keen on shopping around. She can mostly be found in the shops along Main Street, buying snacks, sipping her iced coffee and window shopping for clothes and other accessories. Window shopping, in this case, includes her holding up clothing against her body and checking herself out in the mirror at multiple angles. ] I don't know... what do you think?

[Given that Della works at the Animal Kingdom herself, it was really only a matter of time until she ran into DiVine. Once she notices her, she ends up just watching for a while, at first startled and then... kind of confused. She'd thought she knew most of the jobs around this place by now-- they all seemed pretty standard for a zoo or an amusement park, but something like this is entirely new.

She at least has the common sense to wait until no guests are around before walking closer to ask. The question, uh... probably sounds slightly ruder than she intends, but she's just genuinely curious.]

Is that really a job here? To just walk around on stilts?

[ 'Staying in character' had been enforced during training, and while the princess didn't care for the job, maybe being called beautiful and wonderful multiple times daily wouldn't be half bad. So- because she didn't trust her helper not to snitch on her- she opts not to speak. (Also- of course it's a job, just look at how great she's doing at it, little duck.)

Audrey leans on the front vine stilts of hers, mostly because she needs to stabilize herself before more people wander through, and nods her head slowly- closing her eyes and hoping to convey a "yes" answer. A very graceful yes. ]

[Oh, right, the rules thing-- honestly Della breaks most of those just by virtue of getting out of the safari truck and talking to the animals, since, you know, Bagheera had confirmed they're generally nice and content so what's the problem. But it figures some other people would want to actually follow their guidelines. She nods in understanding, eyes widening slightly.]

Oooh, I guess they don't want you to talk around guests, huh? [She gives her a thumbs-up, and then jerks said thumb over towards a bench not terribly far away as indication of a meeting spot.] I can meet you when you're off...? I have a lot of questions to ask!

[like 'what the fuck even kind of job is this', she's never seen any sort of occupation that involves walking on stilts in a bunch of leaves before.]

[ Audrey might not care about this place, but rules are rules. And she hates breaking them. Besides- she wants to be cast as her mother and not the random person who's currently pretending. Grateful that her choice to not speak was understood, she offered her another smile and nod of her head.

Thankfully, her shift was ending shortly and after another small round of guests, she was ushered back stage by her character guide.

When she came back out to the park, she looked like her usual self again. ]

Sorry! [ The Princess takes a seat at the bench. ] It is so hard not being allowed to talk all shift.

Are you finally learning to steal good stuff? I'm so proud. [why is she even here she's in uniform and very clearly supposed to be working and yet here she is. leaning against a wall like she's cool.]

What? No. [ Freddie, do you know her at all? Break a rule? This Princess?

She frowns over at her and tilts her head. ] Shouldn't you be working?

W... Working? [seems to seriously ponder this brand new word] Nope. Never heard of it. Is it some kinda fruit?

[ This is a Look. ] Totally. It's the new crazy, everyone's having it nowadays. [ SIGH ]

You're in uniform, aren't you supposed to be giving little kids makeovers that aren't on the menu? [ Yes, she's seen some more... VK looking kids running around the parks. ]

Aw, you noticed! [waves a hand dismissively] It's fine. I left a note! They'll barely even notice I'm gone.

[at least 50 moms are asking for managers as we speak.]

Keep at it. I'm getting bored.

[when did count olaf get here? why is he watching her through a pair of binoculars? why is chewing popcorn? i don't know, but it's entertainment.]

[ She had only surfaced briefly, to take a sip of her water and catch her breath...

until she heard someone else was there- and... ]

Pardon me? [ She turned to glare at him, fists clenched as she saw the binoculars. ] Is that entirely necessary?

Yes, it is. I need entertainment. I've rode the Haunted Mansion eighty-six times now, it was getting old.

[In her off time, Yui had found herself wanting for something other than art to fill her days; while she ordinarily wouldn't be caught dead in a place like this - things like strength training and conditioning seemed absurd to her when all she wanted was to be able to hold a pencil or a brush - there was some merit to the pool. She still wasn't really much of a swimmer, but she could admire the water itself, and it wasn't like she couldn't swim in any event.

That's brought her to sit on the edge of the pool, legs dangling into the water, in whatever swimsuit she could find. The water's nice, but at the moment, she's happy just listening to the sound it makes as someone gracefully splashes through it... wait, that hair looks familiar. She hesitates until the other young woman surfaces again, before tentatively calling out to her.]

Michiru?

[ Michiru hated not being fully aware of what was happening around her- especially in a place as foreign as this one. Things certainly seemed to be relaxed and carefree, but in her life nothing had ever been like that. And she didn't expect it to happen now.

Still, it was hard not being in her own mind when swimming- when she heard her name called out (or at least it sounded like it was?), she was startled at first, then turned to look over at the girl with a smile. ]

Yui- hello.

[ She holds up a finger before swimming back to the side closest to the other girl, arms resting on the pool's edge to keep herself surfaced. ]

Are you swimming today?

[She catches Michiru starting slightly, her expression sliding into something a bit more apologetic, but she waits while she comes closer.]

I'm... maybe. I'm not the best at it. Although I could stand the practice.

[There's a brief moment where she seems to hesitate, but eventually, Yui shakes her head minutely, continuing to smile softly.]

You're certainly better at it than I am! You looked very elegant.

[When Ariel hear about a pool, how could she not go check it out!? It's been a long time since she had the chance to go swimming. Although the pool water is much different than ocean water... beggars can't be choosers though.

After acquiring a swimsuit, she makes her way over with a big smile, but stops when she sees someone familiar. She knows that pretty hair anywhere! Sorry if you're asleep Michiru because she's coming up to you very loudly and waving her hand back and forth.]

Michiru, hiya! Are you swimming today too?

[ Definitely not asleep, though the exclamation does startle her from her over-thinking. (Who wears sunglasses inside anyways? This woman right here, that's who.) One would think after years of handling Usagi and Minako that she'd be used to this...

They were wrong. She lifts her sunglasses and perches them on her head before smiling gently at Ariel. ]

Hello, Ariel. I am- I was just taking a quick break from my laps actually. I'm relieved I'm not the only person taking advantage of the pool here.

[Her smile only brightens.]

Of course! I love swimming! There was a pool where I lived last, but it got filled with jello.
