A: Rude awakening
[It's hard not to wake up Friday morning with the cold feeling of utter dread in her stomach. She's living in an unfamiliar room, far from her home, with a bunch of strangers. Everything's just a little too close to what she had to put up with for the last year. Even with Rod promising that it's not like that this time, Star throws off the covers and jumps out of bed before she can lay there and dwell on what ifs for too long.
It's quiet. Too quiet.
She peeks her head out of her apartment door and looks up and down the hallway. No corpses. That's good? But what if someone broke into an apartment!? She ought to check the doors. Yeah.
Star tiptoes down the halls, making sure no one's door is kicked in. There, it's fine. It's friendly. But... what if someone invited the murderer into their home, without realizing it!? She wouldn't be able to tell unless she makes sure everyone's still in their apartments!
Well, nothing ventured. She's just gonna have to check on every single person. Which is why she's pounding on YOUR door at the buttcrack of dawn.]
HEY! Wake up! Are you in there!? Are you still alive!? C'mon, open up!
B: w a f f l e p a r t y
[Look, she may have disturbed literally everyone in the building but it was for your own good, okay. Still, Star feels a little bad about it, so she slips a note under your door inviting you to brunch at the Adventurer's Club. There's waffles! So many waffles! As well as the other three staples of brunch: eggs, bacon, and more bacon. And it's all on Rod's tab, of course, because she hasn't actually started work yet.]
Sooooo... No hard feelings, huh? How 'bout some more waffles?

Sorry, sorry...I understand where you're coming from, but...I think this situation isn't like the others. I'm not saying we should trust Rod completely, but we can give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
